Come to the most exciting endurance race ever! Just in the heart of South America!
Every year, just when our mild winter starts in the north of Argentina, (country of the “gauchos”, tango and Maradona), motor racers have the chance to show their skills in this out-of-the-world circuit!
The Sun´s Race is held in Tartagal in the Province of Salta , 450 mts over sea level in a subtropical climate.
This is one of the most demanding endurance races in Argentina, it lasts over 2 hours. The track includes sand, riverbeds, narrow trails surrounded by dense vegetation (because of the climate, very green all year long) , step-ups, drop offs, and it is very winding . A real challenge to expert riders and at the same time quite safe for improvers.
Riders are divided according to their experience.
There are ten classes:
Children I 8 – 10 years
Children II 11 – 14 years
Beginners (with no experience)
Juniors A (some experience)
Juniors B (some experience)
Master A (very experienced)
Master B (very experienced)
Master Seniors
Veterans A (some experience)
Veterans B (more experienced)
This year the race will take place on the 14th and 15 th of June. The opening will be on the 14th and there will be a rock band on the launching of the event. But if you want to get to know more about Tartagal, make sure you are here on the 12th when one of our most importants folk singers will perform to celebrate Tartagal´s Birthday and you will also be able to enjoy some typical dances on stage! Don´t miss it!!! It will be a delightful experience!
